Research cooperation with Russia

The Research Council has drawn up roadmaps for cooperation with eight priority countries outside of the EU/EEU including Russia.

This roadmap on research cooperation with Russia contains background information about the research policy and the research and innovation systems in the country, Norwegian-Russian cooperation within research, and an assessment of areas of and opportunities for cooperation.

The roadmap is intended to provide a basis for setting priorities and encourage more targeted cooperation with Russia.
All roadmaps are a follow-up of the white paper on research (2012–2013) "Long-term perspectives – knowledge provides opportunity", which identifies these eight priority countries.
