Norwegian "Russia Aqua Cluster" (RAC)

The Norwegian "Russia Aqua Cluster" (RAC) aims to be a driving force in Norwegian-Russian aquaculture cooperation. RAC was established in July 2020 by a group of independent companies from several important aquaculture technology regions in Norway. The RAC companies are linked in terms of being complementary to each other with the aim to meet the needs in Russian aquaculture sector both at sea, in rivers, lakes and in land-based aquaculture. Project owner of the cluster project is ScaleAQ and whereas NRCC is providing various forms of support to the cluster.

RAC is an effective tool for faster access to important decision-makers, various providers of aquaculture sector knowledge, experience, technologies, and equipment. This includes components, machinery, services, suppliers of specialized infrastructure, operating systems, fish feed, vaccine, fish health products and genetics, processing factories and «software». RAC also has members which can act as financial strategic partners and project brokers. The RAC initiative is expected to have positive effects for regional economies.
