Networking meeting in St. Petersburg, 12 December 2017

On December 12, Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce had a pleasure to invite their members and partners in St. Petersburg to the NRCC networking meeting hold at the facilities of Hotel Radisson Royal, NRCC member. Russian and Norwegian member companies and organizations participated in the meeting, as well as officials from both countries. Mr Rune Methi, NRCC Senior Project Manager, welcomed all the participants. The first speaker, Mr Dag Malmer Halvorsen, Consul General, Royal Norwegian Consulate General St. Petersburg, held a presentation about St. Petersburg as a place where Norwegian and Russian interests meet.

The next speaker, Mr Jon Hjartland, General Manager, Jotun Performance Coatings, Jotun Paints Russia, held a presentation regarding their main projects and activities with focus on Russian market. 

Next presentation was given by Mrs Katarina Sætersdal, Senior Advisor, Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), about the Norwegian economy in transition, its possibilities and challenges. 

Ms Anna Kharakchieva, Regional Specialist at the Roscongress Foundation, presented to the audience recent main activities and trends of Russian tourism to Norway and upcoming St. Petersburg international economic forum 2018. 

Mrs Pulzutueva Polina, Office Manager at the JSC "SEZ St. Petersburg", updated the participants on special economic zones Noydorf and Novoorlovskaya in St. Petersburg and prospects for international investments. 

At the end of the meeting, Mr Nikolay Shavrov, Station Manager, Innovation Norway St. Petersburg, was awarded for his outstanding contribution to the strengthening and development of Norwegian-Russian business cooperation and support to the NRCC.

In conclusion, Mr Jarle Forbord, NRCC Managing Director, presented the Chamber's  future activities in 2018. After final questions and remarks, Mr Jarle Forbord invited all the participants to networking session with refreshments.
