The XII Fishery Congress in Vladivostok, Day 1

On 4-7 October, the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce together with the Innovation Norway organized a maritime workshop in connection with the XII Fishery Congress in Vladivostok. The participants of the worskhop were representatives of NRCC member companies and organisations, such as the Royal Embassy of Norway in the Russian Federation, Innovation Norway, Rapp Marine, Havyard, Teknotherm Marine, Far East Fish Co., Mørenot, Mustad Autoline, Brunvoll Volda, Rolls-Royce Marine and Optimar. 

On October 4, corporate presentations of «Møre Maritime Cluster» were given exclusively at a technical seminar at the Russian Fishery.  Later on this day, the NRCC and Innovation Norway organized an open maritime seminar at the hotel Hyundai for 50 regional invited shipyards, fishing boat owners and ships design companies.

On 5-6 October, the delegation has participated at the XII Fishery Congress. During the congress, an opening statement was given by H.E. Leidulv Namtvedt, Norwegian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, where encouraged the Russian authorities and the Russian maritime industry to enforce the bilateral ties between Russia and Norway. He also underlined the presence of the Møre maritime cluster during the congress, and the potential for an extended maritime industry cooperation. later, the delegation was invited to the state reception on behalf of Primorsky Region by Governor V.V. Miklushevsky. 

On the second day of the Congress, the NRCC member Rapp Marine, by Vice President Tor Idar Øye, together with NRCC member Rolls-Royce Marine, by Area Sales Manager Per Ståle Nykrem, gave speeches during the round table discussions about the prospect of investment development of fisheries industry, innovation projects, and Russian and international practices. In the eveneing, the delegation was invited to a theater performance “Anna Karenina and I” with Norwegian actress Gørild Mauseth at the Gorki Drama Theater in Vladivostok.
