Jarle Forbord, Managing Director

Jarle Forbord has a broad experience from various forms of business and advisory activities from the Barents Region, the Baltics, the Balkans, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the SADC region and from cooperation with multilateral financing organisations and institutions.

During the 1980s, he held several leading management positions in various private companies at the High North of Norway, in Kirkenes and Tromso within trade, tourism, transport and production. He has served as a Captain, a border assistant and as an interpreter at the Norwegian Border Commissioner on the Norwegian-Soviet Border; as well worked as a Vice President in South - Varanger Investment and Business Development Company, established and worked as a CEO of Barents Company, Kirkenes.

In 1988, he was appointed as a Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow. In 1994, he returned to the Norwegian Trade Council in Oslo and worked as a Project Manager for the Multiplan Project. There he worked with developing improved links between Norwegian businesses and multilateral financing institutions such as the World Bank, the EBRD, the African Development Bank and national export credit and guaranty institutions.

After the Dayton Agreement in 1995, he moved to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Sarajevo and served there as a Commercial Counsellor, connecting Norwegian businesses to multilateral financed projects contributing to the reconstruction of Bosnia - Hercegovina. From late 1997, he worked as a Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Zimbabwe, and later on as a Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria in South Africa, where he represented as well the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation in various contract discussions between Norwegian businesses and African partners in the region.

In 2003, he was engaged in setting up the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce in Oslo, and was soon appointed as a NRCC Managing Director. 

Jarle speaks fluently Norwegian, Russian, English, Dutch and German.

Ksenia Borzenina, Project and Event Coordinator

KB web 190x260Ksenia Borzenina has graduated from the Petrozavodsk State University with a major in Swedish and Russian language.

She has several years of work experience from account and office administration.

Among other activities at the NRCC, Ksenia is responsible for coordination and implementation of events on Norwegian and Russian arenas.

She is fluent in Norwegian, Swedish, English and Russian.

Rune O. Methi, Senior Project Manager

Methi Rune sh webRune O. Methi holds a bachelor in Business Administration from IHM Business School in Gothenburg and Export Graduate Programme NES from the Norwegian Institute of International Trade.

Rune has project management skills, a significant experience from international sales and marketing, an executive management and a cross-cultural experiences from the Norwegian Trade Council (15 years) and from a private sector (10 years). He has executed various communication projects focusing on branding, B2B and image work, promoted Norwegian maritime- and other technology products in various multi company presentations worldwide.

He has a proven track record within the Norwegian export industry and a broad experience in cooperation and networking activities between various countries.

Hans-Olav Rekdal, Senior Project Manager

HR 190 260Hans-Olav Rekdal has proficient understanding of doing successful business in Russia and Norway. During 1998 - 2010 he lived and worked in Russia where he held several management positions. He has more than 20 years’ experience from developing projects, risk assessment, leadership, logistics, and transport supply chains. Rekdal has a proven track record in the planning and implementation of industrial-size projects in Russia including investment planning into profitable business operations. He is well-skilled in strategy development, building a network of contacts, managing negotiations, and closing deals with customers. He has worked as a consultant in various sectors such as, but not limited to, energy, import/export, aquaculture, agriculture, HSSQE, port and inland infrastructure. Mr Rekdal has a good personal network in Norwegian and Russian trade & industry, as well as the public sector.

Education: Norwegian Military Academy ( Krigsskolen II), Oslo, Russian language course ( A-level), Academy of Social Economy (Strategic Leadership), Moscow, Russia, Safety & Security Offshore, Norway. He speaks Norwegian (native tongue), Russian (fluent), English (fluent), and German (basic).
