In order to speed up the establishment of more direct business contacts between Norwegian and Russian companies, the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce arranges business delegations from Norway to various regions in the Russian Federation. The destinations selected are mainly according to the wishes of the members of NRCC, based on feedback from member surveys.

The NRCC offer its Russian members similar business delegation concepts to Norway. The Chamber may assist its Russian members in all practicalities in connection with their planned visit to Norway on an individual basis. In cooperation with NRCC Moscow and Russian authorities, we as well render assistance to Norwegian member companies arranging visits to Norway by their Russian partners. For 2014 we intend to organize several business delegations and further innformation will follow.

NRCC Business Mission to Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad region, 19-21 October 2015

On 19-21 of October, Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce organized business mission to Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad region in cooperation with the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The mission was headed by Jarle Forbord, managing director of the NRCC, and the participants were representatives of NRCC member companies and other Norwegian companies and organizations: Royal Embassy of Norway in the Russian Federation, Innovation Norway, DNV GL, Thrane (mining), Lyng AS (aquaculture&shipbuilding), Sundnes Projects AS (International Consulting), Ølen Betong (construction industry), Nordic Group (delivery of stone to the construction of the new football stadium for FIFA World CUP in Russia), HAV Shipping (shipping/crew), VSM (ships crew), Green Reefers ASA, University of Nordland (UiN).

Kaliningrad CCI introduced to participants business opportunities in the Kaliningrad region in general. B2B meetings and company visits were arranged with 25 companies within some of the most important industries in Kaliningrad for Norwegian businesses, such as the Aquaculture, Maritime shipbuilding, Mining, Education within Ships repair and aquaculture, door to door logistic chains, fisheries cooperation, export and import of product within different sectors. Among visited potential partners of future cooperation were Pregolia Shipyard, Kalinigrad State Maritime Fishport, Kaliningrad Amber Plant, and others.

All Norwegian and Russian representatives met later for the Business Reception and networking.

March 2014 – Business delegation from Murmansk to Oslo 

 

March 25-27, 2014 the Murmansk region with the support of the Russian Trade Representation and the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Norway was arranging a business visit in Oslo of the official business delegation of Murmansk region headed by The First-Vice Governor of the Murmansk region Alexey Tukavin. He also presented a report “Murmansk region: today, tomorrow” -  about economic and investment prospects of Murmansk region.

The main purpose of the visit was to intensify bilateral Russian-Norwegian economic relations, to show the economic potential of the Russian region of Murmansk as well as to promote investment opportunities between the Murmansk region and Norway. More than 100 participants from Russian and Norwegian enterprises took part. Tamara Chernysheva  from the Russian Trade Representation in her opening speech has made an emphasis that Norway and Russia are united by common natural resources and therefore have common challenges. This business mission is devoted to creation of the favorable climate for citizens and business.

Program agenda included B2B meetings and targeted round tables, comprehensive presentation of investment potential of the region, visits to industrial, innovation and infrastructural facilities in Oslo.

- round-table on tourism 

- round-table on business activities 

- round-table on Oil&Gas and energy 

The official delegation of Murmansk region included directors of large regional enterprises in the fields of transport, logistics, aquaculture, energy sector and housing and utility sector as well as representatives of small-scale entrepreneurship in the field of tourism and heads of business associations and unions of industrialists and region entrepreneurs.

Among the key business delegates from Murmansk where MMP B2B participant MAGE, Mr Gennadiy S. Kazanin that made a presentation about opportunities for cooperation in the Artic. In cooperation with the Russian Federation Trade Representation – the NRCC MMP B2B Norway – Russia organized five individual B2B meetings for one of the Murmansk business delegates. A positive result of such negotiations during the visit was a signing of a Memorandum between two companies within the Oil & Gas sector – and the signing took place at the Russian Embassy.  

 

 

 

High Level Visit - St. Petersburg February 26th 2014

On  February 25th His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon embarked on a three-day official visit to Russia. Activities included the promotion of Norwegian industrial initiatives in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast. NRCC organized a network meeting with a “bilateral investment session “ and a  “ maritime technology session”.

 Crown Prince Haakon was accompanied by State Secretary Dilek Ayhan of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, State Secretary Kåre Fostervold of the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, and State Secretary Bård Glad Pedersen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

February 26th was a new Jotun factory (NRCC member) in Leningrad county just outside St. Petersburg, officially opened with dance and music. This means that many of St. Petersburg's bridges from now on will be painted with locally produced paints.

Jotun is one of the world's leading manufacturers of paints and powder coatings, and the new plant in the industrial park Fjodorovskoje joins the company's 40 production facilities worldwide. Several prominent guests attended the grand opening. H.K.H. The Crown Prince, State Secretary in the Ministry Bård Glad Pedersen and Undersecretary of NFD Dilek Ayhan was factory faced by Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of Leningrad region and Jotun management.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon concluded his official visit to St. Petersburg with a visit to the NRCC member FMC Technologies. The Norwegian company is a leading global supplier of solutions for subsea oil and gas production.

February 2014 - visit from Yamal to Oslo and Tromsø: 

20140213 152953During the meeting in October 2013 between the Board of Directors of NRCC and the top management of RF CCI – it was decided to arrange a business visit from Yamal to Norway: Already in February 2014 - thirteen representatives of different companies from Yamal visited Norway:  MOU’s was signed in the framework of the MMP B2B program - as well as separate agreements for close cooperation were signed. The CCI in Russia and the Russian Federation Trade Mission to Norway carried out significant contributions to facilitate the success of the visit.  

 

November 2013 - NRCC organised Business delegation from Russian state company Avtodor

 

Avtodor 1November 2013 - visit from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaluga – to Oslo, Trondheim and Bergen: State company AVTODOR signed several MOUs with Norwegian companies. State company AVTODOR had meetings with the main top ten companies within construction and maintenance of roads, tunnels and bridges in Norway, including with NRCC member Ølen Betong, the leading provider of concrete solutions in Norway and  AF Group, Vegvesenet in Gudbrandsdalen and many others.
