Background

event60x80The Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization established by Norwegian and Russian business circles. The NRCC was established on the 20th of October 2003, with a constituting meeting taking place at the premises of Telenor ASA at Fornebu Oslo. The founders of the NRCC are Russian and Norwegian companies, hereunder leading Norwegian investors in Russia. The working language of the Chamber is English, which is used both for official correspondance and networking meetings.

Aim

The aim of the NRCC is to stimulate and improve business relations between Norwegian and Russian companies regarding import, export, shipping, business development, tourism or investment activities. In addition, the Chamber aims to enhance the understanding of each others' business culture, market developments and other socio-economic developments of importance.

Members

As of today, the Chamber has 140 members representing various sectors. It is a pleasure for us to see a growing interest from Russian companies joining the Chamber. A list of the NRCC Members can be found under "Members". The expanded list is only available for the NRCC Members.

Management

Both the NRCC Board and NRCC Administration consist of people with vast experience from Norwegian-Russian trade relations. More information can be found under "Anout NRCC Employees", "About NRCC Board" and "About NRCC Council".

Activities

The Chamber presently offers regular networking events, newsletters, seminars, courses, business delegations, as well as social, cultural and various ad-hoc arrangements. More information can be found under "Events".

The NRCC Export Award 2010

fmc awardsThe NRCC Export Award 2010 was granted to a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry, FMC Technologies which in July 2010, signed a contract with Gazprom Dobycha Shelf LLC, with a value of 190 mill USD .

Project Manager, Jørn Tverseth

Portret JT 190 260Jørn Tverseth has a master degree of political science with specialization in organization and management. He has supplementary education in project organization, project management, steering - and control. From Bodoe University College he has a bachelor degree within personnel management and development.

Tverseth has practical experience as consultant, working for different municipalities in project management, organization development and planning tasks; project manager of business cooperation projects with companies within various industrial sectors in Northern Norway, international business development projects with universities in Russia, practical training courses for Russian suppliers in the North Western District of Russia in collaboration with a Norwegian oil company and similar. Jorn Tverseth has held several leading political positions during a period of more than 10 years, hereunder also acting as representative at the regional parliament in Nordland County working with regional industrial development.

He is fluent in Norwegian and English.

Project Manager, Hans-Olav Rekdal

HR 190 260Hans-Olav Rekdal has proficient understanding of doing successful business in Russia and Norway. During 1998 - 2010 he lived and worked in Russia where he held several management positions. He has more than 20 years’ experience from developing projects, risk assessment, leadership, logistics, and transport supply chains. Rekdal has a proven track record in the planning and implementation of industrial-size projects in Russia including investment planning into profitable business operations. He is well-skilled in strategy development, building a network of contacts, managing negotiations, and closing deals with customers. He has worked as a consultant in various sectors such as, but not limited to, energy, import/export, aquaculture, agriculture, HSSQE, port and inland infrastructure. Mr Rekdal has a good personal network in Norwegian and Russian trade & industry, as well as the public sector.

Education: Norwegian Military Academy ( Krigsskolen II), Oslo, Russian language course ( A-level), Academy of Social Economy (Strategic Leadership), Moscow, Russia, Safety & Security Offshore, Norway. He speaks Norwegian (native tongue), Russian (fluent), English (fluent), and German (basic).

Project and Event Coordinator, Ksenia Borzenina

KB web 190x260Ksenia Borzenina has graduated from the Petrozavodsk State University with a major in Swedish and Russian language (bachelor). She has several years of work experience from account and office administration. In the NRCC, Borzenina, among other activities, is responsible for coordination and implementation of events in Norway and Russia.

Fluent in Norwegian/Swedish, Russian and English.
