event60x80The Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization established by Norwegian and Russian business circles. The NRCC was established on the 20th of October 2003, with a constituting meeting taking place at the premises of Telenor ASA at Fornebu Oslo. The founders of the NRCC are Russian and Norwegian companies, hereunder leading Norwegian investors in Russia. The working language of the Chamber is English, which is used both for official correspondance and networking meetings.

Aim

The aim of the NRCC is to stimulate and improve business relations between Norwegian and Russian companies regarding import, export, shipping, business development, tourism or investment activities. In addition, the Chamber aims to enhance the understanding of each others' business culture, market developments and other socio-economic developments of importance.

Members

As of today, the Chamber has 140 members representing various sectors. It is a pleasure for us to see a growing interest from Russian companies joining the Chamber. A list of the NRCC Members can be found under "Members". The expanded list is only available for the NRCC Members.

Management

Both the NRCC Board and NRCC Administration consist of people with vast experience from Norwegian-Russian trade relations. More information can be found under "Anout NRCC Employees", "About NRCC Board" and "About NRCC Council".

Activities

The Chamber presently offers regular networking events, newsletters, seminars, courses, business delegations, as well as social, cultural and various ad-hoc arrangements. More information can be found under "Events".

Mr. Felix H. Tschudi

Tschudi Shipping Company, Oslo – Kirkenes

Tschudi bigMr. Felix Tschudi, is chairman of the Board and owner of Tschudi Shipping Company, holding company for Tschudi Group. Between 1992 and 2002 - CEO Tschudi & Eitzen He is a Board member in FPS Ocean ASA. In the late 1980s Mr. Felix H. Tschudi was involved in developing trade between Norway and Eastern Europe, hereunder the former Soviet Union and today he is owner of the iron melting plant of Ltd Sydvaranger in Kirkenes in the High North. He is broadly involved in the development of commercial shipping through the Northern Searoute, and realized the first commercial shipment of a non – Russian iron ore cargo from the Sydvaranger plant through the Northern Searoute to China in 2010.
Tschudi is Chairman of the Board of Oslo Shipping Association, a Norwegian representative in Intertanko's Council, member of the committee in the insurance company Skuld, a Board Member in Oslo Maritime Network and the publishing house Aschehoug & Co.
Mr. Tschudi has a maritime education from England, holds a BSC from the London School of Economics and an MBA degree from INSEAD, France.

Mr. Igor Kopsov

Region Manager, SURF Russia and Kazakhstan,Technip Norway

Igor Kopsov 190 260Mr. Igor Kopsov is a post graduate from the Moscow University of Civil Engineering. He started his career as a subsea design engineer at J.P.Kenny in Aberdeen and later moved to Ugland Offshore in Norway.

In 1996 he joined Technip and been with it ever science, occupying positions of installation engineer, engineering project manager and tender manager. During last few years he has been working as a Region manager for Russia and Kazakhstan. Igor is an active participant of international conferences. His interests, covering a wide range of subjects, have been addressed in many articles he published on psychology, fatigue, fracture mechanics, installation of subsea equipment and execution of Arctic projects.

 

Mr. Halfdan Millang

RN Nordic Oil AS, Oslo

Halfdan Millang 190 260After having completed officer training at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, HNC in Naval Architecture and a MSc in Mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Mr. Millang embarked on an international career with Shell in 1982. He spent 14 years with Shell International in project management and finance in Middle East and Europe. He then moved to the service company side of the oil and gas industry and spent 5 years with Aker Maritime in business management and development, where ha a.o. filled the position as Managing Director for Maritime Tentech and responsible for setting up Aker Energy and Aker Petroleum.

The following 5 years included various roles within IT, finance and real estate, before moving back to the Oil and Gas industry. Mr. Millang then worked for Wärtsilä Oil and Gas Systems for 9 years, and left the position as Business Unit Director Gas Recovery in august 2014 to join RN Nordic Oil as Development Manager.

As from 3rd of November 2015 Mr. Millang has taken the roles as CEO and as member of the board of RN Nordic Oil AS.

 

Mr. Geir Torbjørnsen

Mr. Geir Torbjørnsen was born and raised in Kirkenes, border town between Russia and Norway. He became very interested and curious about Russia in many areas: lifestyle, business, culture, people and ALL the possible business opportunities that can be developed between Russia and Norway.

Mr. Torbjørnsen is educated as “Instrument mechanics” with main focus on electronics. Founder of several companies in Norway, Brazil and Russia, all based in Kirkenes.

Today, Mr. Geir Torbjørnsen holds the position of Market/Sales director in Barel AS, where he is a majority shareholder and the founder of the company as well.

Mr. Geir Torbjørnsen started to explore nearby Russia (Murmansk region) in 1999, which resulted in the birth of Barel’s daughter company OOO BR electronics in 2002. Mr. Torbjørnsen held the position of General Director of BR electronics for some years. Today, he is the Chairman of the board of directors.

Mr. Geir Torbjørnsen is genuinely interested in the bilateral development and wants to contribute to achieve an open, less bureaucratic and more practical cooperation between Russia and Norway. 

 

 

Mr. Leonid M. Surguchev

Managing Director, LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf AS

surguchev bigLeonid M. Surguchev has been working as Managing Director of LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf AS in Norway since 2012. Before joining LUKOIL Mr. Surguchev held a position of Senior VP of IRIS (International Research Institute of Stavanger).

Past experience of Mr. Surguchev includes Russian oil company SIBNEFT, SONATRACH in Algeria, Oil and Gas Institute in Moscow, Petec Software and Services and Smedvig Technologies in Norway.

Leonid M. Surguchev graduated at Gubkin Oil and Gas University in Moscow and received PhD and Doctor of Technical Sciences degrees at VNIIneft Institute in Moscow.

Mr. Per Horn

Senior Vice President, Oil & Gas, Multiconsult

Mr. Per Horn has a 40 years track record within engineering services, most of the time by management positions. He joined Multiconsult in 1994 and is currently responsible for their oil and gas activities as a Senior Vice President. For a period of time Mr. Horn has also served as head of the project control and - management department.

During the last 10 years, Multiconsult has developed oil and gas business in Russia under the leadership of Mr. Horn. As a result, trustful relations with Russian design companies have been established and major contracts been awarded, especially related to the FEED development of the Shtokman offshore gas field.

Multiconsult has been a key engineering ally for Kvaerner Concrete Solutions (and predecessor companies) for decades. Mr. Per Horn has been looking after this strategic relation for a long time and especially kept a close eye on Multiconsult’s support of Kvaerner’s Russian activites. Multiconsult undertook parts of the engineering of the Sakhalin 1 and 2 projects and is involved in the ongoing business development in the arctic region.

In cooperation with Kvaerner, Mr. Horn has on behalf of Multiconsult facilitated the cooperation development between the universities in Trondheim and Vladivostok. Horn has visited the Far East Federal University several times and signed a cooperation agreement between Multiconsult and FEFU in 2014. As part of this cooperation, Multiconsult is arranging a three months internship program for 1-2 Russian students each autumn, including a course in arctic engineering at Spitsbergen.

Mr. Per Horn graduated from the Norwegian Institute of Technology I Trondheim in 1975 (Master degree, structural engineering) and worked with the company Aas-Jakobsen for 8 years covering design of large concrete bridges and review of offshore concrete structures.

Before joining Multiconsult in 1994, Mr. Horn worked 10 years with the engineering company Grøner. Mr. Horn managed the Joint Venture with Multiconsult covering design of concrete structures for the oil & gas industry, especially for Norwegian Contractors – now Kværner Concrete Solutions.

 

Mr. Thor Halvorsen

Senior Vice President, Telenor ASA

halvorsen bigMr. Thor Halvorsen is Senior Vice President in Region Europe of Telenor ASA and Director of several companies in Norway and internationally. He has served in several Executive Management positions in Telenor, including as Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Networks from 1995 to 1998, as Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Business Solutions and as Executive Vice President of Telenor Mobile International responsible for global Mobile operations.

Prior to 1993, he was responsible for sales activities, product management, R&D and various technical activities both in the fixed and mobile networks.

Mr Halvorsen holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications and Computer Science) from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim, Norway and studied Management Development at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and at IMD in Switzerland.
